Planning a painting birthday
Bring your favourite people around a table. Each person chooses their own piece and takes it home after firing.

Looking for a birthday idea everyone will remember? A pottery painting party gives each guest something to do and something to take home. Here's how to plan one with us.
Why a painting birthday works
Everyone paints at the same table, at their own pace. Children love choosing their own piece, grown-ups enjoy the calm, and nobody needs to be good at drawing. After firing, each guest has a finished piece to keep.
Who it's for
Painting birthdays work for children and adults alike. For children we recommend a minimum age of 4, and every child needs an adult with them. We also organize hen parties, team events and other group celebrations.
How to plan it
- Get in touch with your preferred date, the number of guests and their ages.
- We'll suggest a partner café in the Algarve and a time that suits your group, subject to availability.
- Choose the pieces: each guest can pick their own, or the whole group can paint matching mugs.
- Plan around two and a half hours, with time for a drink or a treat at the café.
On the day
We set the table before your guests arrive, with a piece, paints and brushes for everyone. We show the group the basics and help everyone along the way.
A few ideas for the birthday person: a plate signed by every guest, a mug with their name and the date, or a piece painted together, one color each.
After the party
We glaze and fire every piece after the party and let you know when they're ready. We'll share the collection details when you book, so you can plan who picks up what.
