Draft for review. These policies must be confirmed before booking opens.
1.Who we are
Joy & Paint brings people together to paint their own ceramic pieces. Andrea and Paola run the workshops. When you book, your agreement is with:
How we use the details you give us is explained in our privacy policy .
2.Booking and payment
Proposal
You choose a piece for each seat, and each piece has its own price. You see the total before you pay.
For workshops at a partner café, the piece price includes a café voucher (proposed: €5) to spend at the café on the day.
You pay the full amount when you book, by card or digital wallet. Payments are handled by Stripe.
While you pay, we hold your seats and pieces for 30 minutes. If the payment isn’t finished by then, they go back on sale and you’ll need to start again.
Your booking is confirmed once the payment goes through. You’ll see a confirmation page and get a confirmation email.
Receipts and invoices: [how we issue them — to decide]
3.Your pieces
You choose your piece when you book, and it’s waiting at your seat when you arrive.
Our pieces come in small batches, so what’s on the shelf can change. If a piece you chose isn’t available any more, [what we offer instead — to decide] .
After the workshop we glaze your piece and fire it in the kiln. Colours change a little in the firing, and every piece comes out slightly different. That’s part of handmade ceramics, and we’ll explain what to expect before you start.
4.Cancelling or changing
Proposal
Up to 48 hours before the workshop: cancel for a full refund, or move to another date for free.
Less than 48 hours before: we keep the café’s share of your booking (usually €5 per person, shown on each workshop) and refund the rest. We look at last-minute requests to move to another date one by one.
If you don’t come and haven’t told us, we can’t give a refund.
To cancel or change your booking, write to us through our contact page or at joyandpaint.info@gmail.com, and include the name and date on your booking.
5.If we cancel
Proposal
Sometimes we may have to cancel a workshop, for example if one of us is ill or the café has to close. If that happens, we’ll tell you as soon as we can and offer you a full refund or another date.
6.Children
Proposal
Children are welcome when they come with an adult. Each workshop shows its age guidance on its booking page, so check it before you book.
7.Pickup
Proposal
Your piece is ready about a week after the workshop. We will let you know when it is ready. Pickup details will be confirmed for each workshop.
If a piece isn’t collected: [how long we keep pieces — to decide]
8.Private sessions
Private sessions for birthdays, teams or other groups are arranged with us by message. We agree the date, the pieces, the price and how to pay when you book. Anything we agree in writing for your session applies alongside these terms.
